Solana Fefer was born in Argentina in 1971 and moved to the United States In 1998. Solana is committed to the study of the world around her in all its complexity and beauty. Solana approaches her practice with love, humility, and a thirst for knowledge. Working mainly in oils and charcoal, Solana strives to capture the visual dialogue live in all her subjects. Through the process of translating these conversations the image/object slowly takes shape, reflecting her findings and her most profound thoughts and emotions. Solana graduated from the National School of Fine Arts ”Prilidiano Pueyrredón” in Buenos Aires and was a student of Argentine sculptor Aurelio Macchi. Her studio is located in Waltham, MA.
